About Pip Design

Aoife

I’m Aoife Ní Raifeartaigh, but I work under the moniker Pip Design as it’s less long and annoying for people to spell. Also, I like apples (who doesn’t?)

I’ve been designing and producing websites, apps and various other digital paraphernalia for 20 years, which is a mighty long time in web years I think you’ll agree. I also design for print and branding from time to time.

And I don’t want to brag, but I’ve also made some very fine animated GIFs over the years too.

I graduated from Ireland’s National College of Art and Design in 1997 with a degree in Visual Communication. After almost 10 years working in various design jobs, from The Identity Business (now The Brand Union), to Ireland Online and finally Webfactory, I decided to go out on my own, and have been freelancing and contracting as Pip Design since end-2006.

Clients I’ve worked with include Bord Gáis, Bord Bia, Heineken, Eircell/Vodafone, SSE Airtricity, globalCOAL, Concern, the Irish Medicines Board, and The Department of Foreign Affairs.

I’ve been lucky enough over the years to have my work shortlisted for the Irish Internet Association Web Developer Awards and the Digital Media Awards. I'm also the proud co-owner of a bronze Irish Creative Advertising & Design Award.

Also, as a youngster I was also once runner-up in the Texaco Children’s Art Competition (again, not bragging or anything).

*P.S. If you’re wondering about the photo at the top of the page, I’m on the left, behind the computer. Standing beside me is the very talented UX Analyst Rosarie O’Regan.

Aoife wears classy specs.
